Water Resources

    Camiling is endowed with rivers, swamps, creeks and tributaries. The municipality is part of the Agno River Basin that serves as its drainage area during heavy rains and flash floods. The Camiling River, one of the major rivers in the province cuts through the municipality has a total drainage area of 764 hectares. This river system played an important factor in the municipality by providing significant supply of water for irrigation, commercial, industrial and domestic uses. In addition, it provides additional source of food and income of locals engaged in fishing.

    To date, there are total of 7,311 water connections in Camiling servicing a total of 6,931 households, 375 commercial establishments, and 5 local industries.
