History of Barangay Bobon 1st and Bobon 2nd
Immigrants from Ilocos, Pangasinan and Pampanga live in a place 2 to 5 kilometers more or less from the town proper of Camiling. Source of water in the place is a deep well commonly called a balon or bobon in Ilocano version. They use to get water using a galvanized pail tied in a jute rope. Since the balon have different deep. Some are shallow while the other rangers a deep of 3 to 5 feet. It has a free flowing balon. They use to drink, bath, kitchen use and wash their clothes. The nearest place to the town proper was called Barangay Bobon 1st and the southern portion of the place where Pangasinense grouped together they called the place as Bobon 2nd. At the southeast portion live a group of Ilocanos and Kapampangans. They are surrounded with a tree known as arosep. They usually eat the ripe fruit for free, and they called the place Barangay Bobon Caarosipan, became the growing arosep tree.
History of Barangay Bobon Caarosipan
Guamen was a sitio of Pao 3rd while Caarosipan was a sitio of Bobon 2nd. Guamen and Caarosipan were merged to creat a barangay which is now called Bobon Caarosipan.
