Other story about sinulatan
Once upon a time, during the Spanish regime, a place located in the western part of Camiling lied where some Spaniards used to roam. Though the road was still muddy especially during rainy season, because the government was not yet modernized, seldom did people travel in this place due to rough roads that were so narrow that horse-driven vehicles found difficulty in going to these places.
This was the very reason why katipuneros loved to seek shelter from the hand of Spaniard who were then the rulers of our country. It was in this place where members of the secret movement founded by Gat Andres Bonifacio converged. They would discuss plans and actions related with their daily living, how they would retaliate and redeem the freedom that the conqueror once took from the hands of the Filipinos.
They would write the norms of standards regarding their family treaties, the verbal laws that bounded the, to be whole and never to evade the code of conduct as long as they live. The person who was knowledgeable in the manuscript would write all the agreements and treaties that were orally uttered by the elders became the law of the community. This was the legend how the word “SINULATAN” came into being.
The process of writing the treaties, agreements and code of ethics were nicely written in a sheet of bound and from then on, the place was called Sinulatan
